Canute - take it easy, but take it!
Very nice ... a long time ago. Steve Allen was a very successful TV presenter with his own show (he got Elvis to dress up in formal attire and sing Hound Dog to a pooch!). He was also, if I remember well, a successful songwriter and had a string of hits ... He treated Bob Dylan well and with respect ... I'm sure Bob appreciated that. He wasn't Ed Sullivan.

Homer and Virgil ain't got nothin' on him. Head of the the poet he is.
I think this is from 1964.
Depending on when in '64, he would have been 22 or 23 at the time. Difficult to believe that within two years time, he would be a married daddy-o.
