on 17 & 22

On 17:

Dylan, 17 does nothing to me. No aesthetics here. Might’ve made a good song…perhaps.

On 22:

Death cannot Erase beauty from the Inner Child.

tarantula, n'est pas?

this was written in the same
time as tarantula
u can tell....
"everybody knows by now
that wars are caused
by money and greed
and charity organizations.
the housewife is not here.
she is running for congress."

More Poems Please

There is so much nakedness and compassion in these two poems, I can hardly stand it...

spirit on the water

To me, the line "hovered over" is just amazing. In a way, it's as if the words themselves behave as ghosts... Or rather, as if sound were the ghost of meaning, a vision or a distant echo.

21 or 22

Is the poem called 21 or 22? The New Yorker has it on their website as "21" but it is listed here on Bob's website as "22." Which is it? Just curious.

from every angle

sometimes his words hit me
like now, out of no where
i feeeeeeeeeeeel such powerful emotions,
i cry.
dont know if i am happy
dont know if i am sad
i just feel a flood of sesations
thru my mind
& my body
& even maybe my soul
when i read bob dylan's
poem # 21.

21
by Bob Dylan

death silenced her pool

the day she died

hovered over

her little toy dogs

but left no trace

of itself

at her

funeral

does anyone else get
hit like that?

recently, last few years,
bob dylan has floored me
with his burst of creativity
as a writer
as a fine artist
as a poet
as a DJ
as a musician, of course.

bob dylan pleases me
so much..........

poems

very interesting poems. Does the book have all bob dylan poems?

2 poems

Are these the only 2 poems that Bob wrote in the book, or is there more of his writing?

Gratitude

Thanks for printing "17" and "22"...these poems highlight Bob's incredible genius, as always, and at such a tender age...and to realize that he has just gotten better over time...utterly amazing...as he moved from "17" and "22" to now...

Really looking forward to the book. Whoever DIDN'T publish it in the Sixties must feel rather foolish now....

Thanks again for sharing and keeping Bob's "fans" one step ahead....
