It's well documented how

It's well documented how much Dylan's performances have changed over the years, but it's astounding to watch the transformations the songs go through, not just in arrangement. In '63, this song was accusatory, a young, passionate Dylan stood and said "He Knew Better," now the song is sung from a perspective of experience. Almost a humbling one.Something the '63 original could not claim. Neither is better or worse for it, but just all the more dynamic.

White House Performance

Watched it on Youtube.
Brilliant.
This is my Bob Dylan!
A very classy, gracious and dignified man.
A Legend, Icon and Genius.
We love you Bob!

RE: BOSTON SHOW

''I have been a huge Dylan fan since the 1970's when I was in college''- So you have been such a huge fan since the 1970's, but you found yourself completely surprised of how he has sounded in the last decade. Kind of odd. I myself enjoy how Dylan's songs have naturally aged with him. You should go see ACDC they have played the same set list the same way in the same outfits for ages, you definitely would not be ''shocked'' and you would have your money's worth.

Re: Boston Show

Dude, that was 40 years ago when you first became a fan. I bet you've changed too. You gotta roll with it and take what you can get. Go buy some more records. Long Live Bob

Thanks. Anastasia

doing a project involving Mr.Dylan and the beat generation.

I would like to recieve help and information on the beat generation. I and a partner are participating in the National History Day event and this year the theme is innovations in history. Me and my partner think that the beat generation is a major innovation in society, music, literature, religous and experimental freedom. I am a sophmore residing in the Tacoma/Seattle, Washington area. We would like to be able to interview someone who had direct contact with anyone related to the "original beats" such as Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouc, William Burroughs, Gregory Corso, and any others.
We would really appreciate some help. Even if its just a reference to someone else. Please reply the this or directly to my emial madvizor@yahoo.com

Thank You,
Matthew Vaisman

Dylan

I hope we meet one day, me, not as a fan.

Voices

In april 2009 I was in HMH amsterdam I heard a great voice and a great man performing I grow up with BOB, so I knew his voice and he never let me down, hope to see you again soon BOB in amsterdam!!

Boston show

I have been a huge Dylan fan since the 1970's when I was in college. I haven't seen him in many years. I was excited about seeing Dylan in Boston tonight. However, I was shocked that he has completely lost his voice and the songs were barely a remnant of what they originally sounded like. I feel betrayed and duped that I had to pay so much money for a ticket and have Dylan perform with such poor quality. It is a disgrace to the fans who enjoy music. Please send me my money back.

Rockford 2009 show

Just saw Bob Dylan for the first time tonight at the Rockford, IL MetroCentre (10-27-09).

Great bluesy stuff tinged with rock; it was like being in a Chicago bar, only with 4500 people. Lots of tunes from the past 3 or 4 albums, which is cool because I've been following them in expectation of the show.

Bob, thank you for playing it "2009" with the set list - not just retreads of old ghosts because yesterday was great but this is now and the spin and flavor of our living is what changes and we need that; we need to see it through the lens of experience. Happily, I paid to see a band, not a jukebox.

Thanks for challenging us with what you write. Come on back to Rockford. We'll take a listen at what you're up to then.

Honesty is a secret society

Bob - Did you know that when the era of 1968 when you had the album "Highway 61 Revisited 1965" that it was an album purposely off the shelf in Virginia, USA? You figure, what an open mind is and how it is fed - you can manufacture a narrow road that is going south for any head purchase - Virginia is a street of Ruble for war without reason. DA DA Movement….

Nice

Nice, You took my comment away about the playlists made by members here. Nice. I´t all good.
"Do You Know What They Say? They Say It´s All Good". (From a good song by mr Dylan).

Bob's voice on GPS

I heard Bob was thinking about being a voice on GPS. Probably joking, but I would LOVE IT!!!

Can't wait for the x-mas album. I'll listen to anything he's on.

Glad he's coming to The Joint here in Vegas. Thought it was crazy for him to be scheduled in August outdoors. Have the people who book him ever been to the desert?

Christmas CD

I am glad I ordered 2 and just listened to a preview. He sounds a little like Louis Armstrong I just love it. I was speaking with my grandson Christopher (aged 5) today about Bob Dylan and I said "Everyone in the whole world knows who Bob Dylan is." and he said "Moma, not those 2 cops!" How great is that? We love you Bob Dylan

Can someone answer my question here: What is Twitter?

My way

I don´t want to write this my way, because, there are so few members writing here.
So I deleted my way I will keep my way with my own.

twitter

bob dylan joins twitter...REALLY? im not sure that it would really be him writeing all those messages...but hey anythings possible.

twitt

twittewtwitter-twitt.twitt-twitt-twiwwttt.Tsuiwwittt,wwitt,wit,wit,wit. A bird outside my window. I called it twitter.
Twitter is: You write to a person. That person reads it, but don´t answer.
I might be wrong, I feel very tired about internet pseudocommunication by now, but I thought twittertwiwwisuisitwwer, twitter, was all albout that. So, This twitter is the same as writing any comment, because mr Dylan don´t answer us there either. Twuitewittss!!!
That new record together through life is real good! Babe, it´s Good !

Cool!

Now, please add a twitter-like site on this web site for the fans to use. Sometimes a short and sweet comment is great - right Mo?

Good for you Bob!

Welcome to Twitterverse Bob =)

Listening to you now actually!
