How long can I stay in this nowhere café
'fore night turns into day
I wonder why I'm so frightened of dawn
All I have and all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on

There's a moment when all old things
Become new again
But that moment might have come and gone
All I have and all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on

I look away, but I keep seeing it
I don't want to believe, but I keep believing it
Shadows dance upon the wall
Shadows that seem to know it all

Am I too blind to see, is my heart playing tricks on me
I'm lost in the crowd
All my tears are gone
All I have and all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on

Everything I touch seems to disappear
Everywhere I turn you are always here
I'll run this race until my earthly death
I'll defend this place with my dying breath

From a cheerless room in a curtained gloom
I saw a star from heaven fall
I turned and looked again but it was gone
All I have and all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on

TDOY Lyrics

Thanks, Mark. Wonder what the hold up is in posting the lyrics for this album. I absolutely LOVE this song. And I double checked. Bob did write this one alone. I hope he sings it when I see him in New Britain next month.

This Dream of You

I think that this is one of the most beautiful songs that Bob has written. The words always bring the tears. Thanks Bob!

Indeed it does sound like our Bobby. Think I read the media hype and
believed what they said before I got the actual cd in the mail.
Truth is most of it does, nit really sure where Hunter figures in.
maybe that line on the Mexican War.
but if Hunter helped out Dylan, them
It's all good

that's what counts

thanks

This Dream of You

Hey Mark. Thanks for the lyrics. But my liner notes say this song, of all those on Together Through Life, was written by Bob alone. Don't you think it shows?

Lyrics for TTL

Come on already. I pre bought the album, added it to my iTunes, but it's not complete without the lyrics in there. How long do we have to wait? On some of the songs, people are posting the lyrics themselves.
