Admitting That I Have a Problem
This show was one of the best I have seen, and as I would go back again a couple months later, it will become the first time I see Bob twice in the same year. Yes, I began to realize my addiction was/is hopeless.
Just Like a Woman was very good. I think it was Baby Blue that featured a harp solo with Bob dancing all over the stage. He was extremely into things on this night. I think this was the first or second show for Charlie Sexton, and the start of the glorious era of shows that will never be equalled. But I have actually gotten over that.
At the time we didn't know if Bob or Paul Simon was going on first, and thank God it was Paul. We left Crystal Lake at 3:00, stopped in Schaumberg for a pizza, left Schaumberg at 4:35, and it took us three hours on the Eisenhower and whatever other road we stumbled upon to get to Tinley Park. During those three hours, I said every word my dad ever taught me. My in-laws live in a very rural area, and were literally in disbelief. When they left the show at the end of the night, they were also in disbelief.
