It was Willie Nelson's Picnic
This was "Chilly" Willie's Picnic, so he closed the show. For all the concerts I have seen in my life, this has to be the most eclectic crowd I have been around. Bob's set was short, but opening with "Rainy Day Woman #12 & 35" and then going to "If You See Her, Say Hello", after that everything took off!

My first Bob Dylan concert..... up close and reasonably personal.......... Why I wasted and waited 40 years to see Bob is inexcusable.......................................................
He really is an Icon..... The Man himself.......... Right in front of me...............................................................................
They say you can only hope to experience a few great moments before you die................this was one of them......
What can I say?
My 13th Dylan show since 2002. It would rank 13th out of 13. I still enjoyed myself, but this was not even in the same league as the Kalamazoo show, November 2008.
July 4th
As a long time (40 + years) Bobfan I thought this was the most boring , phoned in show I've ever seen. Zero energy and no audience engagement whatsoever..
I had high hopes after the Yankee Doodle and Rainy Day Women openers but things went downhill rapidly after that.
A major disappointment - what a shame
Somewhat Disappointed in the Rain
Had I not seen him in Milwaukee and Sauget, I probably would not be disappointed after sitting in the rain through Mellencamp's set (we were late, because we forgot about the time change, and missed Willie). Bob did do a few lines from Yankee Doodle Dandy to acknowledge the 4th, and played six songs he hadn't played in the two prior concerts. But there were only 11 Dylan songs - I felt cheated and wanted more.
I particularly enjoyed this version of It's Alright, Ma..., one of my all-time favorites. This version of Highway 61 Revisited is a great rock and roll romp, and three times was not too many. Wish I could continue to see what else he'll do, but I've blown my wad!

It wasn't your typical Dylan crowd, however, that didn't stop the many of his followers from enjoying Zimmy's musical masterpiece on a damp and darkened night.
His rendition of "Beyond the Horizon" coincided with beams of sunlight breaking through the storm clouds which made for a memorable moment to those aware enough to recognize it.
His voice was stronger than the last couple of times I witnessed his performances, but his set was short and his words lost on this oblivious crowd.
Nonetheless...another moment I will cherish as I follow Bob on his never-ending tour.

What a great afternoon. Bob was in fine form. He seemed to be in a good mood; he smiled more than usual, I thought. The band was great, and Bob's voice was all soul.

Many years since I've seen Bob live. Despite the rain, even my 2 teenagers were impressed by this excellent performance. Quite a moving spectacle when the clouds parted toward the end of the set. Viva Bob Dylan

An American Icon!
Well worth watching in the rain. Bob was his usual eclectic self playing old favorites with new twists.Voice was strong and band was tight. Yankee Doodle Dandy as intro a nice touch on the fourth. Legend came to mind while watching him. It doesn't get any better!
