I couldnt agree more with your review. It was my 26th dylan show and truly one of my favorites.luke nelson is a child prodigy on guitar reminiscent of Mike Bloomfield.I talked to mission control, down in houston, and there is a good chance Ill be at the 8.2.9 show.My E-mail is steven.stakich@att.net
Cool breezes, great crowd, amazing lighting effects. I was at the South Bend and the Cleveland shows. The Cleveland show had Bob last up and after sunset. Nothing better. The lighting effect that was most dramatic was the 3rd and 4th songs where the stage was dark except for a single spotlight on Bob. He was wearing a sharp black suit and sharper white hat, so all you saw was the white hat sway and tilt through "Rollin' and Tumblin'" and "Blind Willie McTell". Woooo, errie!
Bob's voice was powerful and dynamic, as good or better than any concert footage on YouTube. I can hear it in my mind now chopping through "Senor (Tales of Yankee Power)" and "Blind Willie McTell".
The drums and bass worked as one powerful unit and the lead and
rhythm guitars were like magic!
Halfway through they played "Workingman's Blues #2". Put a hush through the crowd. I'm sure everyone there knew someone laid off work. Those lyrics are years old now but show how prescient that song is. Everyone should be listening to Mr. Dylan's wisdom. Like the Dalai Lama with a bottle of fine bourbon.
Finished strong with "Like A Rolling Stone", "Jolene" and "All Along The Watchtower". Luke Nelson providing superb blues riffs. I just ordered a ticket for a Texas show. See you there!
AS EXPECTED THIS WAS A GOOD SHOW, WILLIE SOUNDED AT HIS BEST AND JOHN MELLENCAMP PUTS ON QUITE A SHOW , REALLY PLAYS TO THE CROWD. DYLAN, THE MAIN REASON WHY WE WERE THERE, SOUNDED FANTASTIC!!! BOB I DON'T MUCH ABOUT YOUR "GREEN" ECOLOGICAL , BIODEGRADBLE, REUSABLE VEIWS, BUT I SURE GOT A QUICK LESSON WHEN I PURCHASED OVER $150.00 IN MERCHANDISE. I ASKED FOR A BAG, T-SHIRT GUY SEZ "BOB DOESN'T BELIEVE IN PLASTIC BAGS, YOU CAN BUY ONE FOR $5.00. NOTE TO BOB: THIS IS A TOUGH ECONOMY, IF YOUR FANS ARE THROWING "GREEN" AT YOU MAYBE YOU COULD GIVE THEM A FREE BAG. LUV
A wonderful performance, Bob was in fine form with his talented band.
I read some reviews on the TicketMaster website which disparaged Bob for his lack of audience interaction and his vocals. Hogwash, of course. Bob shows his audience appreciation by touring nonstop and delivering masterful reworkings of his songs night after night. He lives for his fans. What more do you want?
And his voice? If you don't like Bob voice by now, then it's too late for you. If you haven't got on the bus yet, man, then you ain't never gonna get on the bus...
Highlights: "Blind Willie McTell" was a nice surprise. And "Things Have Changed" was Halloween eerie under the red sky, lake wind, summer dusk. Ditto for "Ain't Talkin." "Houston" and "Jolene." Awesome!! I wanted to hear more from "Together," but I'm not complaining.
I must say Bob's playing was fantastic, I don't remember hearing the organ as clearly at other shows.
And how cool that Lucas Nelson gets to jam with Bob Freaking Dylan?!?! It seemed to me Bob was leading Lucas through the songs with the organ licks.
Bravo! Bravo, Bob.
Mellencamp was great too. And I enjoyed Willie, although he's almost on autopilot through his set of classic songs.
Anyway, great show.
I can't wait to see just Bob and His Band sometime soon.
Thanks for the music everyone.
P.S. The opening act, "Two Gentleman Band," should change their name to "Banjo Nightmare." Their set was like a blend of barber shop quartet, ragtime, bluegrass and crap. 30 seconds of that stuff was enough.

This was an absolutely amazing concert. I was only there to see Bob and His Band so I waited patiently though performances by TMGB, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp. Willie Nelson's son Lucas, is a very talented artist and it was great to see him play with Bob. What an honor for Lucas! Bob and His Band were magical. I joked with my husband that I wouldn't be returning home after the concert because I was sure that I would fall hard for Bob and leave with him. Let me tell you that I could have EASILY left with Bob. He can never be compared to any other artist or group. His talents far surpass anything or anyone I have ever seen. (I may be a little biased for if I ever met Bob in person, I would surely fall in love with him!) One could tell that he takes so much pride in entertaining. He is not a showman for the crowds but rather one who focuses so much on his music that the audience is just mesmerized by his abilities. He and His Band were dressed in suits and the backdrop continually continued to change with the songs until finally ending with the walking eye. They are completely professional and I was just blown away! I could have listened to them play for hours. They actually played for an hour and a half and it went by so quickly! My only regret is remaining in the stands. I wanted to walk to the standing area in front of the stage but I thought I was too short to be able to see any better. But as predicted, the standing area was full. Nobody would dare miss a chance to see this icon in person. I am so excited to see Bob again. He is truly the most gifted artist of all time! (And he's hot!)

Better and better with age! I thought that the concert was a fantastic production. The music was captivating and the set list was just perfect. Keep the shows coming Bob. You have been my greatest musical influence since the day I picked up a guitar...a long long time ago.
Venice,
Dear Willie Nelson ,
My husband, sister and brother- in -law, we just gotta tell you, your son, I think his name is Lucas was really good.
Last song he sang was so good, plays guitar really well too. We love your whole family. You must be the best thing that ever came out of Texas.
Venice,Was a really nice show. We enjoyed Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and I liked that Bob Dylan played a good set of songs. We all love when he plays guitar more than the keyboards and he did.
One side note Bob Dylan Tshirt vendor {there was two stands he was at the right of the entrance} was the biggest asshole I ever dealt with ,my gosh, dropped 100 bucks cash. He was so rude.I don't no what I did to piss him off. But that jerk off should be canned. I had out my cash, was polite, he wasn't even busy.I wasn't drunk. Looked like he needed his crack pipe, edgy cocky bastard. Big TERD!
