What should I bring?

No Rating

I'm going to the Fresno concert tomorrow, and I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me what I should bring. I was planning on bringing some folding chairs and a cooler, but I'm not sure if that would be a mistake.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Presale

In Norfolk, the presales were allowed in on the 3rd base side. The event people knew all about it and directed us there.

early entry

Check the top of your tickets. If you purchased them on pre-sale, you should have had to type in a password. The first few letters of that passcode should be printed somewhere on the ticket. Now whether the ticket-takers KNOW this or not is another matter, but if you need to make your case at the gate, this information may help you.

Early Entry

Does anyone know how the presale early entry is handeled? Our tickets for the Fresno, CA show just say general admission - gates open 5:00 - show starts 5:30. How do they know we should be allowed to enter at 4:30????

Same Old Same Old?

To some folks, all jazz sounds the same. Others can not only recognize the difference between On the Corner and Bitches Brew, but can also tell you which take ofThe Little Blue Frog you're listening to.

Beyond

Albuquerque was a fantastic show. The surprise opener of Ballad of a Thin Man kicked things off in a serious vein immediately. Lay Lady Lay which I've heard numerous times was performed excellently and was followed by only the second playing of Beyond Here Lies Nothing. It was really well done and had the crowd dancing - great trumpet from Donnie too. Stuck Inside o Mobile, another one I've heard frequently, was also much better than average and was followed by another "Beyond" song - a great re-worked and powerful Beyond the Horizon. It's Alright Ma was my personal favorite of the night and that's saying a lot given how strong virtually all the performances were tonight. I should also mention that Bob sang so many songs center stage tonight and even when he didn't sing a whole song this way, he often came out from behind the keyboard to sing a verse or two from the center. Lots of harp too tonight (at least 10 of the 14 songs). Anyway, after a subdued When the Deal Goes Down. the set picked up its rollicking pace again again with one of the best performances of IF You Ever Go to Houston yet. An average great Highway 61 went into a fantastic Nettie Moore and a dancin' Summer Days to close. The usual encore was again much better than average. Bob definitely went above and beyond tonight!

Lake Elsinore poster

If there is anyone out there in Dylanville who will be attending the Lake Elsinore show, I would LOVE to have a poster from that show. I'd be happy to trade one from either the Stockton or Tahoe shows or pay cash. Please respond ASAP! Thank you! Wild Lucy

Am I the only one having trouble viewing the comments? Yesterday, it said 469 threads. Today it says 362 or something close, but when I click to view the comments, nothing comes up!

Thanks, Kid. . .

I needed a good laugh! I found out today that our hotel was closed for "legal reasons" and I had to scramble to find another room in the area! Of course, it's not within walking distance to the ballpark. Wah,Wah, Wah!

Doesn't matter, though; for Bob, I'd go crawling down the avenue!

Ballpark Show Setup

No Rating

I have seen two ballpark shows and Bethel Woods. The road crew really has it down when changing over between set breaks. I would recommend going on to the field, the stage sets pretty far back from the seats. Bring a blanket to sit down on between set breaks. All the the "action" happens with the crowd on the field.

The only sitting is in the stands. In Norfolk people stood for hours! About a third of those standing left after a couple of Bob's songs. The bands are set up in the outfield, so there is a distance to the stands.

I'm seeing him in Fresno. What's the situation with seating? Chairs on the infield, everybody stands, do many people leave after Willie and John? Help.....anyone.

Hey Kid!

Are you always this grumpy, or does our beloved Bob just bring it out in you? The question is: "Who pooped in your oatmeal?"

Got a new haircut! He's heading my way!!!

YEEHAW!!! I'm starting to get very excited! After Willie and John play, do people leave and the rest have to just stay put until the stage is set up for Bob? How long does that take? I have to coordinate times with my sister and niece, who are driving down from Washington to go with me!

Can anyone tell me if these

No Rating

Can anyone tell me if these shows have seats placed on the infields of the ballparks, or is everyone standing throughout Willie, John, and Bob?
