Well, since my baby left me,
I found a new place to dwell.
Its down at the end of lonely street
At heartbreak hotel.

You make me so lonely baby,
I get so lonely,
I get so lonely I could die.

And although its always crowded,
You still can find some room.
Where broken hearted lovers
Do cry away their gloom.

You make me so lonely baby,
I get so lonely,
I get so lonely I could die.

Well, the bell hops tears keep flowin,
And the desk clerks dressed in black.
Well they been so long on lonely street
They aint ever gonna look back.

You make me so lonely baby,
I get so lonely,
I get so lonely I could die.

Hey now, if your baby leaves you,
And you got a tale to tell.
Just take a walk down lonely street
To heartbreak hotel.

I drug my sister with me again over the mountain and through the woods, but she was tired and not into it. Then she got sick and excused herself for a very long time, which gave me extra room to dance! And dance I did, even though it's hard when other people are there just to listen and aren't into dancing. Even the stars were twinkling. I watched through my binoculars for most of Bob's performance. He was really engaged and in command throughout the night. "Visions of Johanna" in Lake Tahoe under a late summer sky-it was hard to distinguish if the chills were from hearing that song or from the cool breeze that blew in. It was truly ethereal! "When the Deal Goes Down" and "Heartbreak Hotel" If I never see Bob again, I will forever treasure this jewel of an evening. I was heartbroken that it had to end.

"In Bob we Trust. Got Dylan?"

Wow, awesome band. Bad mix however (too much kick drum).

This was such a wonderful show. Bob and the band were awesome indeed, along with a great set list.
However in this day and age with the quality of the sound systems. Why can't we get a good mix. The kick drum was so loud it overshadowed everything. Are all of the sound guys ears blown out to the point they boost it just to hear it. My shirt would rustle on every use of the kick drum. If the sound guy can't hear the kick drum, he should at least review it when your chest is impacted with every use.
I love loud music, always have. I brought my too two sons aged 24 and 22 to the show. I checked with them on the sound and they both complained regarding the loudness of the kick drum. We went to a hip hop show in Truckee on friday night, low budget compared to what Bob has available. The sound at the hip hop show was balanced. Heavy on the low end but it was musical.
I am going to one of the shows at the Greek Theater in October. Please get a grip on the mix.
I walked all over the venue to see if it was just my seat that was overwhelmed by the kick drum, not the case it was the same all over the venue.
The setlist and band were so great. It is a tragedy to have the sound this unbalanced.
I see that one of the earlier shows in fresno had the same issue. So this is not a one night thing. Please reconsider the mix.

I can't understand,
She let go of my hand
An' left me here facing the wall.
I'd sure like t' know
Why she did go,
But I can't get close t' her at all.
Though we kissed through the wild blazing nighttime,
She said she would never forget.
But now mornin's clear,
It's like I ain't here,
She just acts like we never have met.

It's all new t' me,
Like some mystery,
It could even be like a myth.
Yet it's hard t' think on,
That she's the same one
That last night I was with.
From darkness, dreams're deserted,
Am I still dreamin' yet?
I wish she'd unlock
Her voice once an' talk,
'Stead of acting like we never have met.

If she ain't feelin' well,
Then why don't she tell
'Stead of turnin' her back t' my face?
Without any doubt,
She seems too far out
For me t' return t' her chase.
Though the night ran swirling an' whirling,
I remember her whispering yet.
But evidently she don't
An' evidently she won't,
She just acts like we never have met.

If I didn't have t' guess,
I'd gladly confess
T' anything I might've tried.
If I was with 'er too long
Or have done something wrong,
I wish she'd tell me what it is, I'll run an' hide.
Though her skirt it swayed as a guitar played,
Her mouth was watery and wet.
But now something has changed
For she ain't the same,
She just acts like we never have met.

I'm leavin' today,
I'll be on my way
Of this I can't say very much.
But if you want me to,
I can be just like you
An' pretend that we never have touched.
An' if anybody asks me, "Is it easy to forget?"
I'll say, "It's easily done,
You just pick anyone,
An' pretend that you never have met

Bob Never Ceases to Amaze Me

I have been a fan since 1962 and try to attend at least one of Bob Dylan's concerts a year. The concert last night in Tahoe was definately up there with my all time favorites. I just love it when I have to get up and dance because he is just rocking out so great. The evolved arrangements of his old songs are so great right now. Why doesn't he do a new live concert album? His arrangement of " All Along the Watchtower" is so good! Even better than Jimi Hendrix's version. "Highway 61" is perfect. It just couldn't get any better. I loved the entire set from the old to the new. Thanks for a lifetime of wonderful music, Bobby. I also really enjoyed "Heartbreak Hotel" as a tribute to Elvis on the anniversary of his death. It was very sexy and very touching. I will see you in Berkeley.

This was my 4th time seeing Dylan and first on this tour. Without a doubt the best I have ever seen him and this one makes my top five concerts ever. Visions of Johanna was sublime and Bob on guitar for Lay Lady Lay was seriously cool. Summer Days flat out rocked. Must find a way to get to Portland or Berkeley...

God Bless You Bob Dylan!

I thought the Stockton performance was great. So glad to hear Stateline was even better! Bob deserves our love and prayers as he pours out his love on stage. Heart to heart. See you in Berkeley!

Dylan at his finest. This is my third Dylan concert and I believe it to be the best thus far. I was surprised when I saw Dylan playing a guitar, I knew he hadn't played his guitar live in a few years so I felt treated.
