Review from the LA Weekly:
http://blogs.laweekly.com/westcoastsound/last-night/bob-dylan-palladium-...
I predicted and there it was
I spoke a few words that came with many attacks, when i last described my negative experience in lake elsinore, where i last saw dylan.
i stated that i was looking forward to a civilized crowd at the palladium, because i was so harassed by the drunk male and female pushers that insisted on touching me, spilling drinks and just shit u dont expect from dylan fans.
Well, the palladium delivered the BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!
Not only did I have the best, friendliest and refined dylan fans in the world, lets just say, I was 2nd standing row center, (thanks to a hot band package the 65.00 extra was worth every penny), but everyone in the front row and second sat around, talked about our favorite top 3 albums and top 3 songs, (which created quite a debate), complemented each other like true dylionics,
and planned on how to fight the "negative" if it where to occur. When Dylan came on with leopard pill b. hat, I felt that is I where to die at that moment, at would be at peace. Not only is that my favorite song, but he sang it in a way which showed total amusement and sassiness. In fact, i became what I hate for a few moments because i tried to talk a little to much to my new met friends by trying to point out the magical experience i was having. Fortunately ,my boyfriend snapped me out of it.
I was so close, I could see all of it, face expressions, fancy foot work, sweat, and the most magical thing...how much fun he appeared to be having....i hope my 1st and 2nd row buddies saw the same thing.
To the wonderful group in the 1st row and center, u rocked and enriched my experience. to the mother and daughter team "I hope your husband is doing better" "loved meeting u guys". ( the mom has been making dylan shows since the 60's and she looks like a little teenager). To the others, thanks for protecting our turf, only one girl tried but I kept her away from our rocking spot.
Thank you palladium, thank you all of u who attended....your attitude and respect for dylan was present in the manner in which we treated each other. In return, we all gained a memory that will last a lifetime.

i adore ur little sunday afternoon icon from drawn blank series 2008. one of my favs 4 sure. in my heart i own it.
on another note, johnny depp is a gemini so it would make sense he would be in the audience. and like i said, bob dylan is just as hot, if not hotter than jack sparrow. alot of people can feel bob dylans vibe and thats a beautiful thang.
dont get me wrong. i am glad he takes 2 travelling and i pray often 4 st. christopher 2 carry him safely across the land. i wish he would sit still in my hometown so i could see his show more often. it seems i never tire of it; the never ending tour. but more than anything i want him safe and happy and free.
Great
Sugar Baby and Forgetful Heart are dark, haunting, and gorgeous. Highway 61 & Tweedle Dee are balls-out rockers. Ballad Of A Thin Man & Like A Rolling Stone are classics. What a great night.

but instead i am on the edge of this nor'easter blowing thru. i never knew wind could do that, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Now is the time to see the man
I've seen Dylan eight times since 1980 and this is the best he's been. Great music from the band, especially Charlie Sexton, and plenty of winks, nods and musical tomfoolery from Bob. Of course, it usually comes down to the voice, and Bob's voice, as scratchy and time-worn as it is, has never sounded better.
Great sound
Bob's high energy, combined with the acoustics of the renovated Palladium, made for one fun time!
my first bob show....and not
my first bob show....and not my last. awesome to see my hero!!

Can't wait---
He can certainly make you feel alive.
A work of art by a great showman.
Rockin', Boogie-Woogie, Crooner...the one...&...ONLY...MR. BOB DYLAN. A show with flow at the legendary Hollywood Palladium. Featuring highlights from his last three CD'S, with some gems from the past, and a nice, rare, surprise tune. Masterful. I had a great time!
Night #2 out of 3
Awesome. My impression was that Bob was tuned into his heart tonight. "Forgetful Heart" was great...always makes me cry. Another fabulous show. There aren't enough accolades in the world. The man is a genius with a fabulous band. He can certainly make you feel alive.
