good morning, the wind took the leaves off the trees last night and then some. like this song, standing inches away, half naked and not touching, the essence of a love song.

Well you're comin' down High Street, walkin' in the sun
You make the dead man rise, and holler she's the one
Jolene, Jolene
Baby, I am the king and you're the queen

Well it's a long old highway, don't ever end
I've got a Saturday night special, I'm back again
I'll sleep by your door, lay my life on the line
You probably don't know, but I'm gonna make you mine
Jolene, Jolene
Baby, I am the king and you're the queen

I keep my hands in my pocket, I'm movin' along
People think they know, but they're all wrong
You're something nice, I'm gonna grab my dice
I can't say I haven't paid the price
Jolene, Jolene
Baby I am the king and you're the queen

Well I found out the hard way, I've had my fill
You can't find somebody with his back to a hill
Those big blue eyes, they set off a spark
When you hold me in your arms things don't look so dark
Jolene, Jolene
Baby I am the king and you're the queen

CONCERT AT THE PALLADIUM

GREAT CONCERT, TOOK A VERY GOOD FRIEND OR SHE TOOK ME FOR HER FIRST DYLAN SHOW. I went to see a legend of the Rock era, what I saw was the most infleutial singer songwritter or our life time. I have seen Dylan many times before, but not quite like last night. He seemed to finally enjoy his place in History. He is no longer the prophet or in my point of view he never was, of the sixties. Dylan is a genius in his own right without others putting labels on him. His songs were not meant to liberate you, they were meant to make people think, or simply to make himself think. Robert Zimmerman from Minnesota is alive and well, please do not judge of how or what he sings. He is just a man a man who writes beautiful poetry!!!!!!!!!!! Mr. Dylan continue what you do best, write for yourself so we may be part of your thoughts.........

Sounds like the shows are all so good! And I can join the chorus soon- My boss is giving me a bonus of 3-three-THREE! Bob Dylan shows as a Fall Bonus! and he is letting me select the 3 it will be and he is escorting me to the 1st one.

Only thing is, now there probably aren't as good seats left, except maybe it would work for general admisssion better- or not- hmmm-But another added today too, so maybe there will be good seats --Anyway, seems like the shows are dynamite! And I get to see!

Well I'm on the Downeaster 'Kate'...
And I'm cruising thru Block Island Sound...
I have charted a course to the vineyard,
But tonight I'm Nantucket bound...

Ain't talkin', just walkin', eatin' hog eyed grease..
In a hog eyed town...
Heart burnin' still yearnin'...
Some day you'll be glad to have me around...

King Bob

Dylan was amazing last night. He is the most important musician of the 20th century for a reason…..integrity. Everybody wants him to sing like he did in the sixties & seventies, but Dylan much like Miles Davis does what ever the hell wants. Thank God! He was in great sprits and his voice never sounded better. Ballad of a Thin Man was classic Dylan dark and moody his band was great as usual…I would give this show a 9 ½.

Another solid show

The band was so tight last night. Their timing and responsiveness to Bob was really present Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I'll Go Mine) and it made that one of the highlights.

Probably the hardest rock show I've ever seen out of Dylan. Ballad of a Thin Man brought the house down and Not Dark Yet made me a lil weepy.

The Opening Act

I agree, George Thorogood was surprisingly excellent as the opener. Good call.

Things Have Changed

Another great show to conclude the three night Hollywood run. Dylan's crooning durning This Dream Of You and Not Dark Yet held the audience in the palm of his hand. Classic Dylan. Things Have Changed, Tweedle Dee, Rollin', and Thunder were a force tonight, the crowd went wild! The haunting and intense Ballad Of A Thin Man couldn't be better. Chimes Of Freedom takes a while to recognize, but once you do, it is inspiring. The new songs are thrilling. If there's any low spot, Ain't Talkin', a song I love on Modern Times, is slightly lackluster live, especially for it's placement in the setlist. It didn't take away from the excellent concert that was N3 of Bob Dylan at the Hollywood Palladium.

This is a great tour. Hope you can see it.

First Bob show - ever

Wow. Let me say that again. WWOOOWWW!!!!!! Bob live is certainly more fun than I imagined and he was FLIRTING with the audience and it was infectious. He set the tone for a very good mood and THE BAND ROCKED. Last nights version of Hwy. 61 smoked and I thought people would start passing out during Ballad of a Thin Man. At one point he pulled open his jacket to reveal a gorgeous violet shirt. NIce touch Bob!
Absolutely stunning and proof of why he's incomparable.

P.S. -George T. and the Destroyers were a great opener -

oh baby dont be sad

I know there are really only 7 or 8 in the world, but I think this night was one of the Top Ten incredible "Wonders" of my world.now. Thank you, Bob. To see you smile and laugh and deliberately "play" with the audience was fantastic.
This was a night to remember. This was one of those concerts you "hear about". Awesome.
