Thank you Bob Dylan for a lifetime of your music. The concert in Salina, Ks was flat out smokin. It was wonderful to see you in person again to hear your new music and revisit the old. You are still charming women and impressing men. Live long and prosper, Bob Dylan.

This was my first time seeing Bob and I wasn't sure what to expect. He completely blew me away! The band sounded absolutely fantastic! He seemed to be really enjoying himself. Can't wait till I can see him again!!!

My 2nd concert in a little over a year!

This was a great concert! Bob was very animated. He played Guitar on two songs, and harmonica on several others. He danced smiled, and seemed to have a really good time. The band was great with Charlie Sexton outstanding on lead guitar.George Recile is an incredible drummer, keeping the whole thing on track even when they switch gears radically as many a nine times in the same song. There is no one making music like this , and there will probably never be again. Thanks Bob.

I'm beginning to hear voices and there's no one around
Well, I'm all used up and the fields have turned brown
I went to church on Sunday and she passed by
My love for her is taking such a long time to die

I'm waist deep, waist deep in the mist
It's almost like, almost like I don't exist
I'm twenty miles out of town, in cold irons bound

The walls of pride are high and wide
Can't see over to the other side
It's such a sad thing to see beauty decay
It's sadder still, to feel your heart torn away

One look at you and I'm out of control
Like the universe has swallowed me whole
I'm twenty miles out of town in cold irons bound

There's too many people, too many to recall
I thought some of 'm were friends of mine; I was wrong about 'm all
Well, the road is rocky and the hillside's mud
Up over my head nothing but clouds of blood

I found my world, found my world in you
But your love just hasn't proved true
I'm twenty miles out of town in cold irons bound
Twenty miles out of town in cold irons bound

Oh, the winds in Chicago have torn me to shreds
Reality has always had too many heads
Some things last longer than you think they will
There are some kind of things you can never kill

It's you and you only, I'm been thinking about
But you can't see in and it's hard lookin' out
I'm twenty miles out of town in cold irons bound

Well the fats in the fire and the water's in the tank
The whiskey's in the jar and the money's in the bank
I tried to love and protect you because I cared
I'm gonna remember forever the joy that we shared

Looking at you and I'm on my bended knee
You have no idea what you do to me
I'm twenty miles out of town in cold irons bound
Twenty miles out of town in cold irons bound

How'd that one sound? Wish I could of heard it. Down & dirty blues as there ever was.

Bob and His Band looked like undertakers in a ghost town, down on their luck, collars stretched in the heat. Their shadows cast up on the black backdrop called you into the curtain where the light dissolved. The set was smooth and all notes pushed the right buttons. Introduced as the poet-laureate of rock n' roll, he delivered the tunes that make it so. A few stray stalks of wheat stood in the audience clueless as Mr. Jones but most knew what they were getting into. It was raunchy, like Texas Radio, sinister like a twisted carnival, sweet when he needed to be. He smiled, rocked, strutted, and ran for the door when they took their bow. Ballad of the Thin Man never sounded darker. When the set took on Highway 61 Revisited the crowd on the floor went berserk, they rocked it in high gear. The sound was clear as a record, much better than at the Shrine Mosque in Springfield where if you were on the floor it just sounded like fuzz and static. The band looked like they enjoyed the hell out of this one. I did.

Remarkable, redoubtful, transient joys... Folks discovering the music when before it was more poetry. I felt a twinge when I saw the original Bob fans at the show and wondered if they liked the higher energy, rockin' hard bluesy Bob. Did not make this show, sounds like a carnival that i missed. Still hoping to see him in the next weeks ahead...
