Why are Noah and the Whale so bloomin' brilliant? I've never listened to their words before but today I did and it was amazing. No wonder the guy got pissed off at one of his concerts when everyone was shouting 'Five Years Time, Five Years Time', just because they like the bloody catchy tune; but 'There's more to me than that'. You can just hear him saying it inside himself to his audience. I love their lyrics. They are understated but profound. Even pseudo-religious. It's marvellous. Why are not more people writing and making music like this? We can't rely on Bob Dylan to fill the gap forever.
