It's mouth opening, really ... posted Nov 1 2008 by Canute

It's been a while since I put my fingers to the keyboard ... not a lot to report where I sit. It's got colder. The winter approaches at speed. Wind, rain, snow ... it makes a change from summer here ... wind, rain, sun ... ah well, you take it or leave it and I'd rather take it, because leaving it generally means you are dead. That just leaves me breathless. Bob is playing where I am ... Tell Tale Signs, of course, but shows from another time and place, too, like the show at the Universal Ampitheatre in Los Angeles in 1978 and there's a box set of shows called London 2003 with Shepherd's Bush, Brixton, Hammersmith ... you can't say no to receiving these goodies ... but Tell Tale still gets played (and bought) too ... Neil Young's new archive set is about to be released and it looks quite expensive as well ... I just assume this is the artists' revenge on bootleggers down the years. Why not ... if you can't beat them ... join them! The packageing of Tell Tale Signs had me puzzled. The picture on the front has been turned left and right by the powers-that-be but the copy I own faces to the left which means the opening in which the two books are held opens to the left ... I'm righthanded, so inevitably the books fall at my feet when I lift the box set to enjoy it. Annoying. But, the, lefthanded people don't experience the same result ... so, presumably, they are happy. Cheers to them ... and cheers to you. Cheers!
