Your Response

Milwaukee is a bit of an underrated town. People in Chicago like to make fun of it, but so far, no Milwaukee politician has tried to auction off a senate seat!

If you are a baseball fan, going to see the Brewers in Miller Park is a must. It is a great stadium.

There are many ethnic festivals on the Summerfest grounds all year long.

I have to admit that I was a bit confused by some of the info. you had written.

Take care.

Dave : greetings

I didn't know who you were until after I sent a reply. So sorry: just edit out the part about the photo of your feet on a porch by a lake. And the photo of Bob pointing to his tooth.

Otherwise my reply can apply to you also. Oops!

I am going to read your article for the Milwaukee Journal..Bye the way the gal in the photo is carrying a great Coach Shoulder satchel!

I just read the summer fest article: what a great concert.

I had no idea this existed. Typical of me. I am a dork. I am looking at it right now and it says Worlds largest music festival 11 days, 11 stages, 700 bands. That's typical of me.

Boy the view from that ampitheater is beautiful. I had no idea. I can see it is a total treat being there. I wonder how many people go for all of the days?? I had no idea Milwaukee was so gorgeous. .

I was thinking back to London or Paris in Sept. but maybe Milwaukee. It looks so pretty.

I will have to try to go there some time.

Good thing you contacted me: never had a thought of Milwaukee. Loved Bob's outfit. Sharp as usual.
Cheers

Lunacy

Our shared lunacy is comforting!

Warped

It would be warped NOT to notice something like that :D

Guitar

Hi, Kimby!

It is fun to see him play guitar again. I don't know if he does these things just to get lunatics like me to comment, but you know that he typically holds the neck of the guitar at an angle parallel to the ground or even pointed slightly downward at times. On Wednesday, I saw something I had never seen before. On all of the songs, he held the guitar with the neck pointed up at an angle of about 2:00 o'clock or so. Warped that I notice such things, I know.

Take care.

Thanks Dave

Thanks Dave. Nice to see you here :) I'm unable to make any of this ballpark tour, and its good to hear what I'm missing :( Guitar on first three... wow!

Tour Opener

I was a little nervous about seeing the opener. I wasn't sure if they'd have their sound or ideas for the set list down, how Bob would sound, what they'd do from the new album, etc., etc., but I thought it was a great concert. My favorite so far with this band. I was at the Riverside, show, too, and you're right, you never know what's coming.

Cat's in the Well

He opens with that song occasionally. I think it's more of a warm up than anything else, but he must like to include it since he does somewhat frequently.

First home opener; where's the Willie Dilly tour poster?

Coming off that bizarro election day poling-hat Nov '08 at the Riverside, I could only predict that you never know what he's gonna kick down...

First time I got to see Dylan and his band open a tour at home. He tore the place up many times over, especially w/ 'the super human crew.'

Read he practiced at the Barrymore in Madison prior to... Hadn't heard Jolene before, chalked it up as 'I'll make your pencil dark(?).'

Any-who, tour posters didn't make it to the merch. tents that night. Any help securing one down the road would be greatly appreciated.

Thank goodness for the Never Ending Tour!

Cats in the Well

He was in fine form in Milwaukee for Summerfest. His choice of songs is always puzzling.

Why did he kick off his show with "Cats in the Well?" Given the way the song kind of jumps out at you, not sticking around to see if you are ready for it, it was a good choice. Does anyone else find allusions to war and imperialism in this song? Gentle lady is asleep (peace)and the wolf (U.S. imperialism)is looking down with its big tail dragging all over the ground, and cats in the well (oil well?). I would be interested in reading other fans interpretation of that song.
