I love this new site, but it’s not perfect. The calendar is absolutely brilliant I spent a few hours this morning putting my gigs in. All the dates of the shows are highlighted scroll your mouse over them, it gives you the date, place, venue and set list, all it is short of is band members. It’s a fantastic resource particularly for those of befuddled memory, such as I. I had to be reminded that I did have a hand written list covering 1981-1998, which came in handy once I dug it out. I have one gig that I can’t find on the calendar, the Phoenix Festival, 13/07/95, can anyone help me out, and have I got the date wrong? Now, I don’t want to sound like I am having a go at the site developers, its not their fault that they are very young, and the never ending tour started before they were born, and I don’t want to sound like I am bragging, but there just isn’t room for my full list of shows. Come on be fair, I said I didn’t want to sound like I was bragging, but having spent many thousands of £s over three decades, - come hell (quiet often) and high-water (occasionally) the wrong type of leaves, the wrong type of snow, hurricanes (twice London and New York), ice cube sized hail stone, pitch black precipitous mountain trails, farmers blockades, a cow on the train line, Basque separatists, Italian snuffer dogs and Gary Helford-
, I think I deserve them, and I know quiet a few fans that have done more shows over a longer time span.
So here are a few ideas for the site development
1: a full list of members
2: a forum for discussions
3: something to say who’s online and numbers of
