My Little Duckie posted Oct 20 2009 by JamesElmo

I have a Little Ducky, he is a friend of mine.
I give him cookies in the morn' 'n' crackers at suppertime.
I love my little Ducky; he brightens up my day.
When we go to the park we run and laugh and play.
I know my Little Ducky for me would gladly die!
If I ever lost my Ducky I'd cry and cry and cry.
But what my Little Ducky, a bit green around the bill?
Oh my dear dear Ducky! I believe you're getting ill!
Come my Little Ducky, I'll take you straight to bed.
You'll have a blanket for your bod', a pillow for your head.
(I tried to save my Ducky, how my sad heart broke
when I awoke that painful morn' to find my Ducky croaked!)
My poor, poor Little Ducky; your body dank and cold.
Maybe if I warmed you up? Yes, I'll move you near the coals.
What's that my Little Ducky? Your feathers block the heat?
Then I shall simply pluck them out! (to more expose the meat)
But yet my Little Ducky one side's a bit too hot.
To warm you up more evenly I'll put you in this pot.
Oh! My dear dead Ducky, you are such a friend of mine.
Here's some potato, carrots too. Have a little wine.
And so my Little Ducky, you remain to me so true!
In life you were a dear dear friend, in death a wonderful stew!
Happy Halloween!
