Here's the weird thing...
posted Nov 7 2008 by javalogy

For some reason lately, when I hear Dylan singing, it doesn't matter what era it is--what stylistic conventions he experimenting with, all I can hear is his 19 year-old voice...I kinda groove on it, but it also a little worrisome. I love the way he used to sing, but I also love hearing some of his other voices/styles... And I'm not trying, here. I mean, when I was listening to "Most of the Time" and thought, "Wow, I don't know why I never noticed before, but this is one of Dylan's early songs! Wonder why they never released it before," and then I looked at the notes for it..."Oh Mercy" 1989 which...I then rationalized to be a fluke of audition. Then I listened to "Modern Times" and the same thing happened on every song...Well, okay. This is just the way things are for me for now. ^_^

PS: Setlist reads like Milwaukee was a fun gig. Wish I could have been there!
