The Dylan media player requires Flash 9
Many fans complain of Bob Dylan "--going electric," but as far as I can tell from listening to the Odetta interview, Dylan was electric before he was acoustic...so...he just picked up the electric again... Not really an innovation, nor surprising thing for him to do. I think before the guitar, he learned piano, so it is again hardly surprising that he plays keyboards regularly today. Doesn't everybody tend to gravitate toward that with which they are most comfortable? Doesn't everybody try to find their way "home" and stay there?!

weird
Yes I still wish people could view my video. It is weird how some videos will stay up there for years yet other will be taken down an hour after they are uploaded. There is so much stuff that should be taken off if youtube got its way. It is good that Gilly has the site going good the new home page looks awesome, but I do not like the new forum page it is to hard to see stuff in it.
Now that you mention it...
I don't know why I think it was the piano to start; the docs talk about him finding that guitar in the "new" house his parents had bought... He is great on the piano though! I'm glad that he "took it up" anyway! Say, tangentially, you were probably wise not to post that vid. It looks like YouTube is shutting down pretty hard. I understand the artist's need to get paid, but I think...in some cases at least, the restrictions are more about the producers getting paid. What I don't think they realize is the power of independent fan video productions to promote--for FREE-- the work of the artists that these companies...own? I can't get past that...the whole idea of somebody other than the artist themselves, "owning" what they express...Strange world we live in... Thanks for stopping by--also looks like Gilly has things back up at his website.
True
I do not know if piano was before guitar for him, but either way he was even playing great piano in the 60s.
