Been watching the coverage of the Inauguration of President Obama. I think his kids are holding up like real troopers! Gotta be a tough day for them, but an exciting day too! Great to see so many people smiling and dancing in the streets--to see such excitement! I was glad that the President didn't give us a bunch of sunshine and lollipops rhetoric; but I'm also worried about the long haul, and just what "childish things" are to be given up, and by whom. Underneath everything for the past couple of days has been a message of hope; belief in the hope for better things balanced against the clear message that we all need to get to work! Providence help us... ^_^

i was emotional, teary eyed at times, watching the new pres n his lovely family standing there.. like a cinderella story in real life.. These are Real People..not made for Political Reasons people.
Specifically...
Yes, I do know that the use of 1 Corinthians 13:11: "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things," was an admonishment for us all to behave in a more responsible and mindful way. I also understand that without gainful employment, employment that allows them to care for the needs of themselves and their families honorably, that it is impossible for anyone to live in a responsible and mindful way. ^_^
