Power Cycling My Hub: A Bus Conversation. posted Dec 12 2008 by javalogy
Okay...This is completely off topic...
Last night I had the strangest dream I never dreamed before; I dreamed that I had a lengthy conversation involving Pastafarian lore...
Except I wasn’t dreaming. I’m not going to say which company, for fear of causing trouble (for the techsman)...although, good lord, if that call was monitored for training purposes...I don’t know what management and the trainees will make of it... Egads...
What is it about anonymous conversations that often make them more interesting than ones with those we interact with all the time? Like, conversations on a Greyhound bus... wow. I just thought of something... possible quadruple entendre at end of last night's conversation... Anyway, is it the fact that when traveling on a Greyhound bus, you know you will never see person you are talking to again, so it is “safe” to speak your mind? Is it something about traveling in a state of contextual suspension?
The whole experience was a great gift to me, because it showed that no matter how much you think that you know, there is always more to know.
