The Dylan media player requires Flash 9
This is not a bad record but it's not a classic.
There's nothing that bolts you to the wall like [Aint Talkin'] or [Nettie Moore] or there's nothing like [Cry A While] or [Mississippi] or even [Cold Irons Bound] or [Not Dark Yet]
If you keep this in mind, you will enjoy this album. But if you are expecting something prolific, you are going to be let down.
It obviously was a fun album to make. You can tell just by the atmosphere of it and I don't think that it's even meant to be a classic. It's more of a party album with throw away songs, excluding Feel A Change Comin' on as that is as close as it gets to greatness.

SLUMDOG Hi Kate. I do like
SLUMDOG
Hi Kate. I do like it more as time goes on. I think it's fantastic and it stands on its own but i still think that it's not as deep and meaningful as some of the others over the last 12 years or so. But that's fine. It doesn't have to be. Some of the songs make you think but over all it's just a great rockin' record. I love the sound of it. The raw ramshackle blues band. Great atmosphere. I love his growling voice too.
No doubt he will win something but who cares about trophies. As long as Bob is still here making great music, that'll do for me.
u r dead wrong
this is a premier classic bob dylan album. i cannot listen to life is hard without crying. the emotion in his voice is so real and the words strung 2gether the way he does, it is untouchable. u better re-listen. this album is getting a grammy 4 sure.
