A couple of weeks ago I was watching a music channel (Palladia) and they had a documentary on Bob Dylan. I had never listened to Mr. Dylan's music before and was about to turn the channel when a scene showing him singing his song "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" in his hotel room came on. It caught my attention and I ended up watching the rest of the program. The next day I went out and bought "The Essential" disk (after getting some great advice from the comments on this website). Two days later I bought "Blood on the Tracks" and "Blonde on Blonde". Two days after that I bought "Desire". Two days ago I bought "Live 1975", "Live 1966", "The Bootlegs 1-3", "Highway 61 Revisited" and two others. I am out of control! I think this website is great and the comments on the albums have helped me start my collection. Being able to hear samples from the albums is also a huge help. I only wish it didn't take me 37 years to "discover" Bob Dylan. I had a couple of quick questions that if anyone could help me with I would greatly appreciate it:
1. What are the best books on Mr. Dylan out there? I would like to get one on his song lyrics and get some about his life.
2. Has anyone bought live cds from the website that advertises on Amazon.com? I believe it is Dylanconcerts.com or something similar.
Thank you and I am excited to be here!
