I'm half way through Christmas In the Heart, and I'm pretty sure it's the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Bob's gift for making one feel the words has brought life and meaning to songs I've listened to a million times before, but stopped hearing a long time ago. Every time the Baby Jesus comes up I almost cry :) The songs are done in an old-fashioned style that takes me to a time before I was born, maybe to Mom and Dad's childhood Christmases, and it makes my eyes shine to think of it. I feel the love of children in this album, and am grateful and happy that it will feed so many. Thank you Bob Dylan, and all who are a part of this heartfelt gift. I've got four darling grandchildren, and you can bet they, and maybe their children, will hear this album playing at Grandma's house every Christmas until I'm an old, old lady.

Thanks
Thanks, Dave. I'd like nothing better, but I'm suffering under some harrowing deadlines :( Sure do envy you though, and will require a full report. There are a lot of great songs on the Christmas album, but The Little Drummer Boy is probably my very favorite. 'Then he smiled at me' has brought a tear more than once :) And how I love Must be Santa! Makes me laugh :D Feels Minnesota.
Mixed Reviews
I fgured the reviews would be mixed. I know some people don't like it, but it doesn't seem to be split down the Bob/non-Bob lines. For me, his voice, and his persona evoke a fell that sits well with me. My favorites are Do You Hear What I Hear and Little Drummer Boy. I will let you know what I think of Saturday's show. My friend was in Rockford Tuesday, and he said it was the best he's seen in years and years. Charlie makes a big difference. I know it's a haul, but you and your daughter are welcome to jump in the car with us . . .
merry little elves
Me too Dave :) Something I'm noticing is that non-Bobfans seem to get a kick out of it, makes them smile. Bound to be a classic one day. Can't wait to see what comes next. Maybe a clay animation Christmas show? :) I wish!
Random Thoughts
Kim--
I picked up the CD the other day, and I, too, really like it. There are a couple songs that he maybe doesn't quite pull off, but needless to say, my holiday spirit, which is usually about a three, is holding steady at a 10 so far!
