When Columbia was asking for fan statements on Dylan for the unnecessary retrospective Dylan ('07) - I wrote a short paragraph about cowboys. My bit was not included in any publications.
Maybe I was to esoteric with my references, it had little to do with Bob, and had more to deal with Willie Nelson, the IDEA of cowboys, and the American West. I'd add it here if there was a carbon copy stuffed in my wallet but - there is not one placed next to my ATM statement. CLICK READ MORE
I have a black hat - it does not make me more of a Montanan - but places me in this time (one of asphalt and steel). I am from the past - I am here searching for something simpler.
I wrote about the myth of the American Cowboy in Medora, North Dakota. I would like to be part of the myth. Dylan found a way, or at least, he appears as one that is a cowboy.
