An old post cover stands bent in my nana's clay Red Wing crock pot. Bent covers, stress on the spine wears thin spider lines, white, on to the cover. A worn sticker, yellow, once displayed a barcode and her address, reveals the path it took from the press.

Rockwell drew the America I watch in a Christmas Story. An America owned by paperboys, record players, llifebuoy soap, and my wife-to-be Donna Reed.

I take it back. This is not my anthem - It just says what I can't.

My America is angelic.... most of the time.

Kraft Mac and Cheese on plates - not bowls - are part of my America. Any dry cheese that can be found at Taco Bell, Dennys, and in frozen bags at roadside dinners is got to be amazing.

Kids and corndogs. That is my America. One more youthful that is the home kitchen's American meal. A step away from the golden arches of Micky D's.

October 30, 2008. I'll be ready for the concert this time. I'm bringing all my Dylan cds. Just in case I'm craving Knocked up and Loaded.

Am I really the only registered attendee in the Lethbridge concert? Come on!

I heard of these "Dylan" parties - where people dress up as characters from his songs.

I don't know who I dress up as - but I'm definitely going with Alicia Keys.

My America has cowboys, televisions, and haunted travailing carnival rides. Those that you sit in crammed next to your brother as the car takes ridiculously sharp turns to maneuver through a semi trailer bed.
The dark, red lights, and witches made of wooden masks and foam are part of my America.
