i was reminiscing about the good old days, and how back then kids could just enjoy themselves with a dictionary and not worry about tv or video games. quaint, huh? like i bet allen ginsberg visited the office supply store more times before 1960 than most of us would in an entire lifetime. and he even bought typewriter ribbons...

definitely worth the time, and the trip. doesn't make me want to type on a manual typewriter, but it does sort of illustrate that the concepts were in motion way before cut and paste was anything other than a layout artists' term.
