A day that will live in infamy
posted Jul 25 2008 by markscalise

43 years since Bob Dylan rocked the music world by "going electric" at Newport. In hindsight all the ruckus seems rather silly, and there were certainly those who loved it as well as hated it. "Music is music" seemed to be the message of the day, along with "whoever said I was on your side???"

1965-07-25 Newport, RI
Newport Folk Festival, Freebody Park

1 Maggie's Farm (electric)
2 Like a Rolling Stone (electric)
3 It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry (electric)
4 It's All Over Now, Baby Blue (acoustic)
5 Mr. Tambourine Man (acoustic)
