We are much loved. Love is the essence of God. This is why Love is expressed in relationship. Always has been, from eternity past, and always will be, in eternity future. This is how it was possible for Love to become a man. God became a man. The Messiah, Jesus, is the fullest expression of God's love. He went all the way to the cross to die for us, even while we were still His enemies. He took the punishment we deserve. But there is more. Love conquered death for us, too. He rose from the grave on the third day. He took the penalty for our sin on the cross. He conquered death when He rose from the grave. There is no greater way God could have expressed His justice for us and His love for us. Now eternal life is in knowing Him. To know Jesus, the One found in the Bible, is to know His code. We are much loved, indeed.
